Polish Dance Theatre
Poznan, Poland
  1. Premiere – 21 January 2017
  3. The show will refer to rites accompanying the harvest, and the cycle of agricultural
  4. work, nature and the human life. sounds. The dancers seem as if they moved along a circle, around an invisible centre. The circularity of their movement is also suggestive of a cycle, repetitiveness, and eternal return. They are sowers, whose gestures imply sowing seed; but they are also farmers that express their deep relationship with the earth through direct contact. All this enables us to be transferred alongside the protagonists to a (most likely Polish) rural scenery. This is most graspable whenever dance is accompanied by songs inspired by Polish oral folk tradition, performed by Adam Strug.
